British Punter Wins a £26 Million European Lottery Prize

EuroMillions Prize Lottery Success

A single UK participant has claimed the twenty-six million pound European lottery top prize, the National Lottery have verified.

The winning numbers selected on Friday evening were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Star numbers 02 and 06.

This marks the number three Euro Millions jackpot secured in the UK this year out of the ten conducted to date.

At the start of the year, a single player claimed £83 million, followed by a £65m Valentine's Day win. The two successful players chose to remain unidentified.

Nevertheless, the lucky individual of last Saturday's £10.6m Lotto top prize has yet to come forward.

A senior winners' adviser encouraged participants to take a few minutes to verify their entries and online notifications.

The successful Lotto digits for Saturday were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the extra ball was 42.

"Our team is ready to give advice and connect with specialists who can help winners optimize the prize for themselves and their loved ones," the adviser said.

The EuroMillions jackpot will be verified against the official rules, and once approved, the successful player will decide whether to go public.

Although granting them vast wealth, Friday's prize of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the top European lottery prize recipients.

A prize of more than £183m would have been required to secure a place in the premier rankings of biggest payouts.

The top jackpot claimed by a UK ticket-holder is £195m in two years ago, based on data from official sources.

Although it is hard to hit the prize, it is easier than people believe to fail to claim it.

One participant failed to claim a one million pound jackpot in the previous year after failing to claim a EuroMillions prize within the six-month deadline, meaning the money was instead donated to good causes supported by the lottery.

The greatest EuroMillions prize to be left untouched in the Britain was £63.8 million in the summer of 2012.

The European lottery is held every twice weekly across nine European countries.
