Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are expected, with the company planning to announce complete information during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated that Paramount planned to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not provided a response regarding the report.
